From bystander to hero: towards systems saving lives

Could you save a life?

Imagine: you are on the street and someone suddenly becomes unwell. Would you dare to help? And what might stop you from doing so? With this questionnaire, we want to find out exactly that. Our aim is to motivate as many people as possible to take action and resuscitate at those moments when every second counts.

How does it work?

With this project, we investigate how to quickly notify citizens when a cardiac arrest is reported to the 112 emergency number. If there is a heart attack somewhere near you, you will receive a notification on your phone. That way, you can be the first to offer help and resuscitation can be started immediately, even before the emergency services arrive. Because those first few minutes really make a difference: the quicker resuscitation takes place, the greater the chance of survival. Every second counts!

Help us save lives!

Share your opinion on resuscitation. Fill in our short questionnaire and become part of our research project. Together, we can make a difference.
