Your participation matters!
You are invited to participate in a study on the sensory evaluation of commercial plant-based cheese as part of an academic research project conducted at BioTeC+/KU Leuven.
The aim of this study is to investigate how dietary patterns and nutritional understanding affect the sensory perception of plant-based cheese.
We are interested in your honest opinions and experiences, and your responses will be used solely for academic research purposes.
Time commitment: The study consists of two parts: a short questionnaire, which will take approximately 2 minutes to complete, and a sensory evaluation, which will take approximately 30 minutes.
Part 1: Participants will first complete questionnaire with seven questions.
Part 2: Participants will then take part in a sensory evaluation of six commercial plant-based cheese products. Participants will evaluate each product following two main steps: (1) rate all sensory attributes that apply to the product, (2) indicate the overall liking and your purchase intention for this product.
Please note that the products used in this study may contain soy, pea, almond, or other allergens. If you have any known allergies or intolerances to these or any other ingredients, please DO NOT participate in this study.
Please read the informed consent carefully before participating. Please complete this questionnaire only once.
Participation is voluntary, and informed consent is required to take part in the sensory evaluation session. The study will be conducted anonymously, and all responses will be kept confidential and used for research purposes only.
This study has been reviewed and approved by the Social and Societal Ethics Committee (SMEC) of KU Leuven G-2026-10829-R2(AMD)
Thank you for taking the time to participate. Your responses will contribute to a better understanding of consumer perception and sensory evaluation of plant-based cheese.
