Evaluating the Role of Industrial Stakeholders in Advancing the Valorization of Marine Biodiversity-Derived Products

Demographics, KPIs, collaborations with academia/TTOs, biodiversity-derived and marine biodiversity-derived product details, and insights.

My name is Amelia Westmoreland, and I am a PhD student in Pharmaceutical Sciences at KU Leuven. This survey is part of our research project, "Evaluating the Role of Stakeholder Groups in Advancing the Valorization of Marine Biodiversity-Derived Products."

The purpose of this survey is to collect quantitative and qualitative data on the roles, practices, challenges, and successes of industrial stakeholders working with marine biodiversity-derived products, including their interactions with academic institutions, Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs), and their contributions to the research-to-market pipeline. The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.

Your participation is vital to understanding the full scope of industrial stakeholders' contributions, the commercial landscape and barriers for marine biodiversity-derived products, and improving collaboration across the broader innovation ecosystem. Responses will be kept confidential, pseudonymized, and used only for this study. Data will be stored and managed in line with KU Leuven's Data Protection Policy, Information Security Policy, and Research Data Management Policy and Guidance. This study has been ethically approved by the Social and Societal Ethics Committee (SMEC) (G-2023-7226-R2(MAR)).
